The Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) is collaborating with the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) with specialized ANOC.tv Studio services now operational at the 12th Pacific Mini Games in Palau, which opened on June 29 and will close on July 9, 2025.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in ONOC's ongoing commitment to supporting member NOCs and elevating Pacific sport on the global stage.
Building on collective success from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where athletes from 15 ONOC member NOCs participated in ANOC.tv Studios, ONOC has worked closely with ANOC to bring this proven platform to the regional Games. This collaboration demonstrates a shared vision of ensuring that Pacific athletes receive the recognition and support they deserve, regardless of the competition level.
Through the partnership between ONOC, ANOC and the Palau Games Organising Committee, unprecedented opportunities are now being created for ONOC member NOCs to showcase their athletes and stories to global audiences. With 2000 athletes and officials currently competing across 12 sports, the Games are highlighting the remarkable talent and diversity that defines sport in Oceania.
The ANOC team deployed to Palau includes Team Lead Bastien Sancey-Richard, Nicolas Gras and Annice Lyn, who are working on site to deliver professional, high quality content creation services that ensure athletes' achievements are celebrated worldwide.
Equally important to the collaboration is the commitment to authentic storytelling that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Oceania athletes. ANOC is working on ensuring that the content creation process currently underway captures not just athletic performance, but the broader cultural context that shapes athletes' journeys and motivations. This culturally informed approach ensures that the stories emerging from the Pacific Mini Games are authentic, respectful, and genuinely representative of the diverse communities across Oceania.
The success of this initiative stems from the strength of the partnership between ONOC, ANOC and the Palau Games Organising Committee. Each organization brings unique strengths to this collaboration: ONOC provides regional knowledge and cultural understanding, ANOC contributes technical expertise and international reach, and the local organizing committee ensures seamless integration with Games operations. This collaborative model demonstrates how regional sports organizations can work effectively with international partners while maintaining local leadership and cultural authenticity.
