Guam | May 8, 2025 – The Guam National Olympic Committee (GNOC) is set to welcome delegates from across Oceania for the XLV Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) Annual General Assembly, scheduled for May 17, 2025.
Leading up to the Assembly, a series of events and workshops will engage delegates and stakeholders:
In addition, IOC President Thomas Bach will make a special return visit to Guam for this historic occasion. Having previously visited the island in April 2019, President Bach will be attending the Assembly ahead of his scheduled departure from office in June 2025, as his term comes to an end.
GNOC is working closely with local stakeholders to deliver the event, which will include an official opening of the General Assembly Meeting by the Honorable Lou Leon Guerrero, Governor of Guam, on Saturday, 17 May 2025.
The XLV ONOC Annual General Assembly represents a crucial moment for Oceania’s Olympic movement, as leaders and stakeholders collaborate to shape the future of sports in the region. The GNOC looks forward to hosting this prestigious event and welcoming esteemed guests from across Oceania.

Established in 1981, the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) is one of five Continental Associations. It looks after the interests of 17 member nations in the Oceania Region, including Australia and New Zealand as well as seven associate members.
