The Federated States of Micronesia Olympic Committee (FSMOC) is pleased to acknowledge the success of its swimmers Taeyanna Adams and Tasi Limtiaco at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
TOKYO, 29 JULY 2021
The Federated States of Micronesia Olympic Committee (FSMOC) is pleased to acknowledge the success of its swimmers Taeyanna Adams and Tasi Limtiaco at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Adams, a swimmer from Pohnpei, finished fourth in her heat of the 100m breastroke with a seasonal best of 1:25.36.
Limtiaco, a medley specialist originally from Chuuk, also swam a season’s best in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.69 which was less than a second off of his personal best.
Both Adams and Limtiaco are IOC Solidarity Athlete scholarship holders who competed at their first Olympic Games.
“Both Taeyanna and Tasi were outstanding ambassadors for FSM at these Games,” stated Jim Tobin, FSMOC Secretary General.
“And both have bright futures in the sport of swimming for Micronesia (FSM).”
The final athlete competing for FSM is Scott Fiti from Chuuk who will be running the 100 meters in Athletics (Track and Field) on Saturday 31 July.
All three FSM athletes were assisted in preparations for Tokyo 2020 through DFAT via the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) under the PacificAus Sports Partnership Program.
