Joseva Talacolo’s journey to the Olympics is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.
Talacolo was a non-traveling player in the last Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, but this time around, the Fiji 7s forward was called up to join the Fiji 7s team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“Playing and representing Fiji for my first time at the Olympics is truly a blessing and I thank God for the opportunity. Coming onto the field for my first Olympics is a totally different feeling from any other tournament such as the HBSC and any other. It is because we are playing at the Olympics for Gold,” he said.
A dream come true for Talacolo, as he cements his name in his very first Olympics. Talacolo says this may be his first appearance at the Olympics, but every single game is being treated as a final. The Fiji 7s Rugby team now sets its eyes on a third Olympic Gold after a winning streak to the quarterfinals.
The Fiji 7s team, known for its exceptional skill and teamwork, is poised to make history once again at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Talacolo’s presence in the team adds a new dimension bringing fresh energy and determination to an already formidable squad.
